Right: we compare the ﹩{f}_{\mathrm{esc}}^{\mathrm{LyC}}﹩ with [S II] deficiency. The latter is defined as the displacement of the measured log([S II]/Hα) from the orange line in the left panel (Wang et al. 2019, 2021). See discussion in Section 5.2.
