Comparison between the H I filament orientations (black linear structures), extracted using the RHT method (S. E. Clark et al. 2014), and the magnetic-field direction derived from stellar polarization (red segments). The strong parallelism between the RHT-extracted H I filaments and the stellar magnetic-field directions provides independent confirmation that the CNM structures in the R–C cloud are magnetically aligned. This agreement reinforces the interpretation of the R–C cloud as a magnetically dominated environment.
