LOLA’s effective resolution (adapted from M. K. Barker et al. 2023) in the south polar region surrounding the original 13 Artemis III candidate landing regions announced in 2022 (red outline and labels; see NASA 2022). The median effective resolution within each of the 13 regions varies from ∼15 m pix⁻¹ at Haworth and Connecting Ridge to ∼35 m pix⁻¹ at Amundsen Rim. We use SfS and LROC/NAC images to enhance the effective resolution of these scientifically and operationally critical regions to a uniform 5 m pix⁻¹.
