Fraction of M dwarfs with activity (as defined by the presence of Hα emission) for the ASAS-SN flare dwarfs (black) compared to a sample selected based on colors (SDSS DR7 M dwarf and BUD ML dwarf samples; gray; West et al. 2011; Schmidt et al. 2015). The uncertainties are based on a binomial distribution. While the ASAS-SN flare sample is much smaller, it does also have a higher significantly active fraction than the comparison dwarfs.
