Black hole Eddington ratio function for broad-line AGNs derived from our sample. The labeling is the same as in Figure 9. There is a broad range in L/ L Edd for Type 1 quasars, and there is no evidence for a turnover in the BHERF down to L/ L Edd ~ 0.07, except for possibly in the redshift range 3.20 ≲ z ≲ 4.75.
