Evolution in the comoving number densities of Type 1 quasars at four different values of L/ L Edd. The labeling is the same as in Figure 5. The number densities of Type 1 quasars are fairly constant in redshift below z < 2 for all Eddington ratio bins. However, the number densities of Type 1 quasars radiating at lower values of L/ L Edd drop off more steeply toward higher redshift at z > 2.
