Encircled flux as a function of angular radius. The source is Mars. A map is generated with a rectangular grid of spacing 18﹩\arcsec﹩ (1 pixel). The encircled flux is determined by adding the signal values for pixels interior to a given radius. In computing the fraction of total flux, we have extrapolated that 10% of the total flux lies beyond the edges of the map.
