The α-disk emission spectrum predicted by the agnspec code for a 108M⊙ zero-spin BH with Eddington ratios 0.01 (blue) and 0.03 (orange) with an inclination of 0∘ (completely in the plane of the sky). The long-dashed lines show the same spectral predictions but without including the r > 220rg region, and the short-dashed lines show the spectra for 50rg < r < 220rg. There is a clear Lyman edge along with a Balmer break, coming from the 50rg < r < 220rg region of the accretion disk. For energies higher than the Lyman edge, all of the emission comes from r < 50rg.
