Caption: Figure 7.

Satellite gas depletion versus host halo mass, colored by satellite stellar mass. Gas depletion is defined as a satellite’s atomic gas fraction (fH I = MH I/M) relative to the expected fraction at a given stellar mass, <fH I> (Equation (6)). MHONGOOSE satellites are shown as pentagons, ALFALFA and WALLABY as circles, and MW/M31 gaseous satellites from M. E. Putman et al. (2021) as crosses/diamonds. Gray shaded regions mark the ±1σ scatter in ﹩\lt \mathrm{log}{f}_{{\rm{H}}\,{\rm\small{I}}}\gt ﹩ (horizontal) and the MW-mass hosts (﹩\mathrm{log}{M}_{200}/{M}_{\odot }\,\geqslant \,12﹩; vertical). Low-mass satellite candidates of MW-mass hosts are highlighted with stars.
