Black empty stars and violet crosses are the same as in Figure 1. COS-DR1-209435 is anticipated to grow in stellar mass to ﹩{\mathrm{log}}({M}_{\star }/{M}_{\odot })﹩ = 11.72 within 0.72 Gyr and COS-DR3-195616 to ﹩{\mathrm{log}}({M}_{\star }/{M}_{\odot })﹩ = 11.38 within 0.21 Gyr. Open circles show spectroscopically confirmed quiescent massive galaxies from the literature.
