Source surface densities in different bands within the HDUV survey footprint. Shown are the numbers of sources in the ACS F435W band (red), as well as the UVIS F336W and F275W (dark and pale blue, respectively) that are detected at >5σ with SExtractor. The depth of the HDUV survey is well-matched to the GOODS F435W depth, even though the overall number density of sources decreases significantly to shorter wavelengths, as already shown visually in Figure 5.
