Spectra of SN 2022an compared with those of the core-normal Ia SN 2011fe (R. Pereira et al. 2013), the transitional Ia SN 2015bp (S. D. Wyatt et al. 2021), SN 1991bg (A. V. Filippenko et al. 1992b; B. Leibundgut et al. 1993), and the 91bg-like SN 2005ke (G. Folatelli et al. 2013). The color-stretch parameter sBV of each supernova and the phase of each spectrum after the B-band maximum are given after the supernova name. The comparison spectra have been scaled to match the integrated flux of SN 2022an over the wavelength range 4000–5500 Å. The comparison pairs have been shifted for clarity, with the applied offsets indicated by the horizontal dashed lines. The vertical dashed line marks the rest-frame wavelength of [Co III] λ5892 (S. Dong et al. 2018).
