Caption: Figure 2.

First, second, and third columns are ﹩{v}_{xy}^{\mathrm{total}}﹩ (planar velocity), AIA 193 synthesized intensity, and vz (out-of-plane velocity) map at t = 103, 237, 294, 376, and 701 s (top to bottom). At t = 103 s, the velocity pulse is incident on the null region (black contour) and further deformed it, which is visible in ﹩{v}_{xy}^{\mathrm{total}}﹩, synthesized AIA 193 running difference, and vz maps. In the vz map at t = 237 and 294 s, an Alfvén wave packet is also seen to be generated through the β = 1 layer, whereas ﹩{v}_{xy}^{\mathrm{total}}﹩ and the AIA 193 intensity signal demonstrate the propagation of refracted and newly generated (red arrow) fast magnetoacoustic wave fronts. The independent and distinct propagation of a fast wave front and Alfvén wave packet is seen in the map at t = 376 s and t = 701 s. The field-aligned plasma flow is also evident in ﹩{v}_{xy}^{\mathrm{total}}﹩ and synthesized AIA 193 running difference images surging behind the Alfvénic perturbations along the left-side separatrix field lines owing to nonlinear effects. An animation of ﹩{v}_{xy}^{\mathrm{total}}﹩, AIA 193 running difference, and vz from 0 to 1025 s is available in the online version. The real-time duration of the animation is 10 s.
