The M* vs. [N II] λ6584/Hα. The FMOS galaxies in Sample-H are compared with the local SDSS sample. Cyan and gray circles show the HQ (S/N(Hα) ≥ 5 and ﹩{\rm{S}}/{\rm{N}}({\rm{N}}\,{\rm{II}})\geqslant 3﹩) and LQ (﹩{\rm{S}}/{\rm{N}}({\rm{H}}\alpha )\geqslant 3﹩ and ﹩{\rm{S}}/{\rm{N}}([{\rm{N}}\,{\rm{II}}])\geqslant 1.5﹩) FMOS galaxies. The solid and dashed green curves indicate the best-fit linear relation for the FMOS galaxies with the estimated intrinsic scatters (see Section 11.5).
