Fast and slow wind speeds as a function of δ v ⋆ and values of λ ⋆. The fast wind speed increases strongly with increasing value of λ ⋆, reaching some 1200 km s−1 for λ ⋆ = 0.01, with a much weaker dependence on δ v ⋆.
