The detectability of rotation across APOGEE metallicity and α-element abundace. The color bar corresponding to the detection fraction has a maximum value of 50%. We detect fewer stars in rotation at high [α/M] because these stars tend to be old, slowly rotating, and less active. At fixed [α/M], there is scatter in the trend of detectability with metallicity from bin to bin.
