Time evolution of the reconnection layer width ﹩{\delta }_{\mathrm{rec}}﹩ for a simulation with box size ﹩{L}_{x}=2159c/{\omega }_{\mathrm{pe}}﹩, ﹩{\beta }_{{\rm{i}}}=2,﹩ ﹩{T}_{{\rm{e}}}/{T}_{{\rm{i}}}=1,{\sigma }_{w}=0.1,﹩ and ﹩{m}_{{\rm{i}}}/{m}_{{\rm{e}}}=25.﹩ The value of ﹩{\delta }_{\mathrm{rec}}﹩ is measured at ﹩215\,c/{\omega }_{\mathrm{pe}}﹩ from the center. It does not depend on the choice of the initial current sheet thickness, ﹩{\rm{\Delta }}=30,40,60\,c/{\omega }_{\mathrm{pe}},﹩ shown by the red, green, and blue curves, respectively.
