Channel maps of the ¹²CO( J = 2–1) emission in NGC 1068. Please note that the ¹²CO( J = 2–1) data were resampled to match the spectral resolution of the ¹²CO( J = 3–2) data and facilitate a comparison, especially with respect to the line-ratio channel map in Figure 13. Contour spacing is in steps of 5σ = 37.4 mJy beam ⁻¹. We use a spectral resolution of ~7 km s ⁻¹. The zero channel corresponds to v _LSR = 1137 km s ⁻¹ of NGC 1068.
