Global view of the mapped Tycho secondary craters projected onto a spherical globe centered on Tycho crater. The projection places Tycho at the center of the ray system, with the lunar South Pole located at the bottom of the figure. In this study, we counted 14 rays, including the South Polar crossing ray (Ray 1). White arrows represent the general orientation of each ray. Magenta points represent the location of craters with extended asymmetric ejecta found in this study. Supplemental Information includes the shapefiles with the boundaries of these rays.
