Age distribution histograms and their corresponding KDEs for the thick disk (orange) and Splash (blue) populations. The majority of stars in both components have ages older than 10 Gyr, indicating that the present-day thick disk formed at early times. Nevertheless, the Splash population shows a relatively higher fraction at the oldest ages compared to the thick disk.
