The colored surface shows the median z-coordinate, with blue (red) indicating farther (closer) distances relative to the adopted LMC-centric distance D0 = 49.15 kpc. The accompanying animation rotates the viewpoint once around the system, illustrating the 3D structure and warp morphology of the LMC disk. The real-time duration of the animation is 14 s.
