Recovery of the rotation period from synthetic F410M light curves sampled at the observed cadence and uncertainties. Blue shows period recovery of a sinusoid, and purple shows injections with k = 1 and 2 sinusoids motivated by the planetary-scale wave models. The dashed line marks the injected period of 9.0 hr. The sinusoidal cases recover a narrow period distribution, while the multisine waveforms remain centered near the injected period but broaden the 16th–84th percentile range to 8.5–9.4 hr.
