Median background of original individual exposures plotted against the moon separation angle and moon phase at the time of observation. Individual images considered suboptimal are flagged with red crosses, which is more likely to happen with inadequate moon avoidance combined with a full moon. The newer images and reshoots have strict moon-avoidance protocols implemented.
