Estimated SED for the optimistic scenario without data whitening (top) and with data whitening (bottom), assuming the true planet position is known a priori. Apart from the larger uncertainties in the non-whitened case, the SED values at shorter wavelengths show prominent systematic errors. These systematics are significantly reduced after the whitening.
