Lick/IDS indices Mgb and < Fe > for 10 primary z ∼ 1.4 (blue triangles) and z ∼ 2.1 (green stars) Heavy Metal targets. A grid of models from the Thomas et al. (2003) stellar population model (t age = 2 Gyr) is superimposed in gray. The Heavy Metal galaxies tend toward low metallicities and high [Mg/Fe], in general agreement with what is found from the full-spectrum fitting. Uncertainties are large, motivating the need for full-spectrum modeling.
