Apex to footpoint emission ratio for three XRT filter channels for the γ _PA = −4 (red), γ _PA = 0 (green), and γ _PA = 4 (blue) cases with 1σ errors shown (Bevington 1969). While the ratios differ slightly in magnitude from filter to filter, the differences in the timing of the peaks provide a clear signature.
