Here we show the necessary combinations of planetary limb temperature and mean molecular weight to match our observed data with an α = −13, a value that may be attainable if MnS clouds are present with grain sizes of 10⁻² μm. Dark red lines denote the nominal values. The shaded gray region denotes values of μ which are unphysical for these temperatures.
