This mosaic shows the 62 farcs9 × 69 farcs4 section of the NGC 6720 images common to both the full field and quadrant filters. Panels (a) through (e) show the emission-line linear images corrected for contamination, if any, for the underlying continuum and non-targeted emission-lines, normalized to the maximum features being white. Panel (f) shows the extinction index c derived from the surface brightness in Hα and Hβ with the scale indicated in Figure 2. The parallel faint linear features passing through the central star in the c image are residual "scars" caused by small photometric errors near the edges of the two CCD detectors of the WFC3-VIS. The pointing was changed between two otherwise identical exposures to allow coverage of the gap between the detectors. The vertical axis is pointed toward P.A. = 330°.
