Ka‐, Q‐, V‐, and W‐band Q Stokes parameter maps before and after foreground subtraction using the method outlined in § 4.3. There is a possible residual signal in the W band, although the noise is not yet sufficiently low to be certain. The U maps look similar. The cleaning for the cosmological analysis was done outside the processing cut (Jarosik et al. 2007) and was based on the K‐band maps and the starlight‐based dust template. The oversubtracted dark regions on the Galactic plane are inside the processing cut.
