Enlarged region of Fig. 6 showing the common absorption‐line features in SDSS J0246−0825 components A and B. The vertical gray dotted lines (4819.5, 4831.8, and 4917.0 Å) represent the positions of the absorption lines redshifted to ﹩z=0.724﹩ of Mg II λ2795.53 and λ2802.71 and Mg I λ2852.13, respectively. The Mg II absorption lines and possibly the Mg I absorption line are seen in both components. The rest‐frame equivalent widths are 0.81 and 0.62 Å in the spectrum of component A and 0.77 and 0.79 Å in the spectrum of component B for the Mg II λ2795.53 and λ2802.71 absorption lines, respectively.
