Scaling of the power spectrum for the n = −2 simulation A. Simulation A is a P3M simulation with 2563 particles. The solid curves show the N‐body power spectrum at eight different output times spanning knl(a) = 58–7.25. The dotted curves are all obtained by scaling the spectrum at the fourth from last output time: the wavenumber is scaled as ka(τ)−α, and the spectrum is scaled to maintain consistency with the linear spectrum. The left panel shows the results for the standard self‐similar scaling with α = 2. The dotted curves agree very well with the solid curves except at the smallest and largest k, owing to the finite resolution of the simulation. The right panel shows the velocity scaling with α = 1.
