Surface mass mixing ratio of H2CO (10−12 kg kg−1) is determined from the lookup table using the conditions (Ps, Ts, qv, and UV flux) computed with the PMGCM. The amount of H2CO near the surface is the main factor influencing the net H2CO deposition flux that reaches the surface compared to high altitudes.
