The total column-integrated production rate of H2CO (cm−2 s−1) as a function of each atmospheric parameter varied in this study: (a) specific humidity qv(kg kg−1), (b) surface temperature Ts (K), (c) UV factor, and (d) surface pressure Ps(bar). The UV factor is varied from 0.01 to 1, corresponding to an irradiance from 0.28 to 28 W m−2. Unless otherwise specified, the other conditions are Ts = 300 K, UV factor = 0.5, and qv = 10−3 kg kg−1.
