The boxplots of the CH3OH column densities (a), CH3CHO column densities (b), and the ratio between them (c) in starless cores from different clouds. The statistics were achieved in logarithmic space. The data of Taurus and Perseus clouds were adopted from S. Scibelli & Y. Shirley (2020) and S. Scibelli et al. (2024), respectively. In panel (c), the protostellar core values are adopted from S.-Y. Hsu et al. (2022).
