Panel (d) shows the evolution of actual separation (orange) and semimajor axis (blue) as a function of time for a specific case of very wide binary with chaotic evolution or highly perturbed by stellar encounters. Temporary disruption and formation events during the evolution of wide binaries of this type were excluded from (a), (b), and (c).
