The quadratic (blue), three-parameter (purple), and four-parameter (red) limb-darkening laws are shown with their 1σ posterior envelopes. A linear guide (dashed black) connects the disk center to the best-fit limb intensity. Bottom: residuals of the three-parameter and four-parameter intensity compared to the best-fit quadratic law. The parameterizations only differ substantially below μ ≲ 0.2, which represents only about 4% of the stellar disk area.
