Methods are color coded by family (linear, tree-based, neural, foundation). Foundation models (red) lead the RMSE curve at every ntrain, while on the unweighted CDE loss they are matched at the largest sample size by the density-optimized baselines (Flow-Spline, FlexZBoost).
