The semimajor axis and mass of exoplanets around stars in the CDDS from the NASA Exoplanet Archive database. Here we adopt the database’s best estimate for planetary mass (bmassj). The shade of the green circles in the plot correlates with the number of planets around a stellar host. The lightest shade is a single planet around a single host, and the shade darkens with increasing number of planets around a single host. The darkest-green points (lower left) correspond to the seven planets around Trappist 1. The three magenta diamonds (upper center-right) represent single planets orbiting binary stars.
