Color coding indicates sSFR (a, see color bar Figure 1) Hα equivalent width (b) Re at 5 × 1010 M (c) and 2 × 1010 M (d) and Sérsic n index (f). This figure illustrates the distinct structures of star-forming and quiescent galaxies, with Re decreasing and n increasing when moving from the star-forming to the quiescent sequence. Furthermore, size increases when moving up the quiescent sequence, with post-starburst galaxies being significantly smaller than all other galaxy types.
