The volume rendering (blue color) shows the region with current density J > 0.2  cB 0/(4πλ p) (upper panel) and J > 0.12  cB 0/(4πλ p) (lower panel). The curves are the magnetic field lines that pass through regions of high parallel electric field E , and thus are actively undergoing reconnection. The fraction of the field line with an enhanced value of E is rendered in green.
