Distribution of the X-ray photon index Γ as a function of L/ L _edd, where L = L _bol is estimated using L _bol/ L _X = 16, with L _X = L _X (2–10 keV) calculated from L _X (0.5–8 keV) using Γ. We show for comparison the measurements of Γ and L/ L _edd for the ChaMP (high z) SDSS QSOs with spectra (Green et al. 2009), where both Γ and L/ L _edd are calculated in the same way as for the ChaMP galaxies/LLAGNs, with the difference that the bolometric correction for quasars is considered to be L _bol/ L _X = 83, independent of their luminosity.
