GBT total H i intensity (moment 0) map of the 4 deg ² region around NGC 2997. The grayscale is in units of K km s ⁻¹, which is proportional to N _H i. Contours start at 1.2 × 10 ¹⁸ cm ⁻² (equivalent to a 3σ detection for a 20 km s ⁻¹ width line) and continue at 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, and 2000 times that level. Optically identified group members are marked with plus signs. There are no visible filamentary structures connecting the group galaxies; the apparent connection of UGCA 177 with UGCA 180 and IC 2507 is not contiguous in velocity.
