Color–surface brightness diagram, ﹩( g-z) _{0}﹩ vs. μz, of globular clusters (red) and diffuse star clusters (black) in the 12 galaxies listed in Table 1. Data are the same as for Figs. 5 and 9. The diffuse clusters often have very red colors, although some galaxies have diffuse clusters with a wide range of colors.
