The magnetic field from the local Starship-created current source as a function of position from the landing location (origin). The magnetic perturbation, ΔBy, is vectorially added to the existing solar wind magnetic field of By = 5 nT. The result using a current density variation of ρ−1.6 is compared to a result where the current density is assumed to be uniform.
