Estimated fO2 of Group 1 and 2 angrites at their melting P–T conditions for CMEP of 4 GPa, 7 GPa, and 10 GPa. The shaded box region indicates the fO2 and melting P of Group 2 angrites constrained by the oxybarometer developed in angrite lithology (A. S. Bell et al. 2023a) and the multiple-saturation point (F. L. H. Tissot et al. 2022). Each color indicates the magma-ocean fO2 during the core formation. CMEP conditions of 4 GPa, 7 GPa, and 10 GPa are necessary to explain the fO2 of Group 2 angrites at the magma-ocean fO2 of ΔIW–1.9 to –0.9.
