CLR-filter image mosaic (705 images) of the first and second Mariner 10 encounters, geometrically controlled to MDIS images and the Mercury global DEM, photometrically normalized, and map-projected at 85 px deg^–1 (500.9 m px^–1) in simple cylindrical projection (−85°–85°N, 175°–346°E). Coverage of the planet was limited to a single hemisphere with nearly identical illumination during each encounter.
