Multispacecraft observations across the reconnecting HCS crossings embedded in the ICME sheath (the second and third HCS crossings). Panel (a) shows the Wind magnetic field measurements across the crossings in GSE coordinates, and panels (b)–(c) show the electron number flux at different energies for different pitch angles (PAs). Panel (d) illustrates electron signatures observed within reconnection exhausts that are magnetically disconnected from Sun and magnetically connected to Sun. Panels (e)–(p) show magnetic field and plasma observations across the second and third HCS crossings from ARTEMIS-P2 and Cluster in a similar format to Figure 2.
