Dashed lines correspond to regions where the atmospheric model is extrapolated beyond the available grid (see Appendix B). Filled circles correspond to cases where both P and γ remain in the range of validity of the used EOSs. Open circles correspond to cases where P or γ are computed in the extended range. Crosses correspond to cases where P or γ are in the extrapolated range. Shaded areas correspond to H2 (gray), H2O (pink), and hydrodynamic escape (shaded) (see Section 4).
