Cumulative distribution functions of the distance metric computed from the proper element uncertainties reported by the AstDys and SBDynT TNO catalogs. Both distributions only represent the TNOs reported by the AstDys catalog as of 2024 December, which consists of 2124 TNOs. An additional line shows the distribution of proper elements for all 5060 known TNOs. Note that the SBDynT CDF becomes shallower around 10 m s⁻¹, which is primarily due to higher uncertainties reported by SBDynT for mean-motion resonant objects within the sample.
