The relative proper motions of the stars G2, KPNO 15, G1, and G3 in a reference system based on seven stars from the surrounding group. G2 and KPNO 15 were within 1″ of each other about 5600 yr ago. G1 is another walkaway star, possibly related to the binary G3. The orange circle marks the approximate center of the inner rim of the cavity and the presumed site of the merger.
